In other news, today I am saying goodbye to a really dear friend.  His name is Michael Bradley.  I've known him since I was in elementary school...he was one of my best friends...always there for me, even when I wasn't always there for him.  I regret not being there for him sometimes, but I am forever greatful for this past year - we've spent so much time together, talking, laughing, crying, and being real with each other.  I was blessed to become a part of his family and to help him enjoy the last year of his life.  On Tuesday, March 15, he lost his battle with Gastro Esophogeal cancer....He will be greatly missed.  I know he is not in pain anymore, and I know he's in heaven, watching over me, protecting me, like a gaurdian angel. Well, Mikey - I'll be singing your songs just like you asked me too...I big puffy heart you, and will never ever forget you or stop loving you.  To Mike's Family, I don't know if you will see this, but know that I love you so much, and I promise I will always be here for you if you ever want to talk or just want to cry...or to celebrate.  We did throw some awesome parties!  :)

My prayer for everyone, please hug your family and friends a little tighter, and please please please...tell them exactly how you feel.  It may be hard for you to say, it my be hard for you to hear....I was lucky enough that I got to hear from Mike exactly how he felt about me....I know he really needed to say it, and looking back, I really needed to hear it.  I will truly miss him more than words can ever express, but to know how much he loved me, it comforts my heart when I start to get sad.  I was blesed to be loved that much by not one, but 2 wonderful men.  I'm just sad we lost one so very young.  Rest in Peace sweet Mike and know that I love you so very very much...and I will see you again!

Love you!

Happy Monday - Relief and Relaxation...

Happy Happy Monday!  Today I come to you after a wonderfully relaxing weekend.  I spent the whole weekend hanging out at home and working on paper flowers.  So much fun!

Today brings another challenge at Paper Therapy.  This week is another Sketch Challenge:

Here is my take on this week's challenge!

I can't wait to see what you come up with!  Remember, your projects are due by Saturday at Midnight.

TOday also brings some relief.  I took the Hubs to see an allergist because he has been suffering through what we thought were some of the worst allergic reactions to his surroundings. I hated to ask him to come to the store, we gave up all nut related products, banana flavored anything...quit going to WEndy's Chick FIl-a....and still we were baffeled because he was in a constant state of blotchy red itchiness.  Tody the Dr heped us find some answers.  Dave still  has allergy problems, but he said the constant state of itch is something called chronic urticaria, or chronic hives.  He gave us a list of medications to stay away from, things to do to help him find relief and gave him a treatment regimen.  Can i just say I am sooo glad we have a name for this condition and we know how to help him better.  Thank God for the Dr.  I'll keep you posted on his progress...

Have a great week all!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

Happy Monday Bloggers!

Dallas is in the middle of a terrible freeze, but I am snuggly warm at home with Dave watching the temps drop.  This weekend was crazy - started with relatively normal weather and lots of Scrapping at Memory Lane Inn.  Ended with 5 inches of snow and a tricky ride home.

Now it's time to start a new week, and it's time for another fabulous challenge at Paper Therapy!  This week is a sketch Challenge:
You can use this to make a card, tag, layout, gift package - it just needs to be based on this sketch.  Here is my take on the challenge:

 Supplies Used:
Making Memories Paperie Collections  (Green and Brown)
Silk Flowers - Michaels
Pearl - Recollections
Brown Ribbon - May Arts
Cappucino Brown Cardstock - Paper Source

This was a fun challenge for me - I tried to realy stretch myself to create outside of my simple clean lines.  I hope you can stretch yourself too.  Don't forget to post your challenge engries by midnight on Saturday, and be sure to chekc out our other Deisgn Team members - they really blew this challenge out of the park this week!
