Fantastic News!

Howdy friends and family!  I've got dinner in the oven so I'm gonna need to make this a quick post.
A few weeks ago I found this cute little papercrafts board on Scrapbook.com, Paper Therapy!  They had a Design Team call, and after playing and getting to know some of the people, I was decided to throw my hat into the ring.  Yesterday I got the most awesome email ever - I am on the Design Team for Paper Therapy!

Starting October 4, we will be having weekly challenges, and there are alwasy fun swaps and chats on the boards.  Come check us out...feel free to stay a while.  :)

I'll come back to talk more later - can't let my husband's dinner burn.  Happy Crafting!!

What!?!

So I woke up this morning and hopped online to check out some stuff online.  My homepage came up - and I have it set to my Blog.  Much to my surprise, the background was all jacked up...seems like the template I was using was erased so I've had to redesign....I'm kinda bummed, but I look at this as an opportunity to have my husband help me learn to make my own templates.  Be on the look out for a new blog design...but it may take me a few weeks.  :)

For now I'm off to lunch at the West End with my husband.  Love y'all!!

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Happy Holiday Weekend Bloggers!

I am recovering from a very nasty headcold, but I am glad to report I am on the mend.

I am so excited that I've had this time to play online because I found a new project...like I don't already have enough going on.  ;)  I am currently working on cards to send to a camp for abused children, but I also found a great site: http://operationwritehome.org/.  The folks behind this site gather cards year round and ship them overseas to deployed military units so they have awesome cards to send to their families.  I am so excited to get started on these cards - I plan to ship cards every quarter.  If anyone is interested in doing this, or wants to have a Card Making Party, let me know - I'd love to help set this up or combine shipping with other cardmakers/ crafters in the area.

I am also excited to let you know that attendees of Croptoberfest will have the first chance to purchase Limited Edition Make a Wish Cad Kits.  What?  You don't know what Croptoberfest is?  It is a super fun 3 day crop held at Judy's Happy house and is open to all my favorite CM customers.  I am also unveiling my team's Make a Wish Project at this crop.  We will be making a limited number of card kits so make plans to come and check these out - once they're gone, they're gone.  :) I will be posting more details about the kits soon, so stay tuned for that!

In other news, Dave and I are really enjoying life.  Work has been challenging for me this week - had a short week and then was sick on top of that so I'm hoping next week will be better.  I left myself in good shape Thursday, so I at least had that going for me.  Today I am nearly back to 100% so I'm looking forward to knocking alot of stuff out Tuesday.  I've also been contemplating some changes in my own life.  I love my job - I like helping people better understand their leave options and helping put their mind at ease to get well, but some days the stress is too much.  I often don't feel like I'm really able to use the talents God gave me...several options have surfaced over the past few weeks - no worries - I'm not quitting my job anytime soon...just considering changing some things I do in my off time until I can figure out what I want to be when I grow up....or at least when I get older....I hope I never really grow up.  :)
Stay Crafty and have a great weekend!
